About the Department of Rehabilitation

The Department of Rehabilitation provides three Bachelor’s degree programmes:

  • physiotherapy (full-time study)
  • occupational therapy (full-time study)
  • orthotics-prosthetics (full-time study)

Research activities focus on observation of patients after replantations, polytraumas, cerebrovascular accidents, spinal lesions and amputations. Staff members take part in developing methodological guidelines for physiotherapy.

The Department also organizes conferences and workshops open to the specialist public, featuring leading experts as guest lecturers.

In its specialized training in prosthetics and orthotics, the Department works closely with the companies TOO Proteor Ostrava and ING Corporation Frýdek-Místek.
